There are mixed reviews online for vudu.com from both customers and company reviews.
A positive review of Vudu is written at Mashable:
- "...From a quality standpoint, Vudu is unmatched. HDX rentals really blow the boundaries of what one expects from a streaming service. That said, Vudu doesn’t have the library of some of its counterparts and it can be expensive. If you have a fast Internet connection (and a Wireless-N router), Vudu is a great way to enjoy high quality new releases at home."
PC Mag offers a mixed review:
- "...Vudu serves up a decent streaming video service that accessible from a number of devices that support it. Unfortunately, it’s hammered by having resolution tied to platform, and some content that isn’t available (despite being on iTunes) or can’t be streamed to mobile devices..."
Customer Bobbie D. gives vudu.com 5 out of 5 stars at SiteJabber and writes:
- "So in my never ending quest for the best movie site, I bring you vudu.com. I love the HD quality that they offer. This works with the pc, PS3, and any TV, Blu-ray, or media devices, like Boxee, that have it installed."

A review at ConsumerSearch explains that prices are higher at vudu.com than competitor Netflix but the quality of the Vudu movies are better:
"...While critics love the video quality, cost is a concern. Titles -- especially HDX titles -- are expensive. If you are interested in a less costly video streaming service, Netflix has a library that's nearly as large and charges a flat fee for all the movies you can download and watch. Quality, especially for HD titles, is good, but Vudu is still better in that regard. In addition, Netflix doesn't have very many of the latest titles..."
